Chippendale Style Entertainment Cabinet
This tiger maple entertainment center was designed and built in the style of a Chippendale cabinet. The dimensions and interior partitions were configured to allow a large TV (most 65" TV's and smaller) to be placed on top with storage for various audio and video components in the cabinet. The overall size of the cabinet can be customized to your space requirements and equipment needs. Some of the design features of this cabinet include adjustable shelves, hand forged rat-tail hinges, chamfered corners with hand carved lamb's tongue details, ventilation for equipment, and removable back panels with wire routing access holes. This cabinet could easily be built from Maple, Walnut, Mahogany or Cherry. The base and crown molding profiles, as well as the door style and overall size could be modified for a different style or purpose. In addition, the cabinet could be built with matching glass doors, matching solid wood doors, or a fabric panel door to hide a subwoofer, etc. This type of cabinet would also work well in a dining room setting as a buffet.

• The dimensions of the unit are approximately 48.5" long x 22.5" deep x 36.5" high - these dimensions can be customized to meet specific requirements. • The case construction is hand cut dovetail joints with sliding dovetails to attach the center divider. • The frame and panel doors feature pinned mortise and tenon construction • Hand forged iron rat-tail hinges, lockable doors and solid brass reproduction door pulls. • Chamfered corners of case feature hand carved lamb's tongue ends. • Adjustable shelves provide a wide range of positions for equipment and storage options. • The back is divided into two removable panels with wire access provided. • Ogee bracket foot base. • The piece was stained to enhance the figure of the tiger maple and finished with a hand rubbed wiping varnish, buffed and waxed to a warm satiny finish.
